International Women’s Day

"Don't let anyone tell you you're weak because you're a woman." -Mary Kom

International women's day celebration in Brainware university

Mothers, sisters, friends, guides...pillars of strength, oceans of knowledge, wise as the mountains. Women have been an intricate part of shaping up this world and everything that pertains to it. In An Exposition of the Old and New Testament, Matthew Henry says, “The woman was made of a rib out of the side of Adam; not made out of his head to rule over him, nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved”.

Portrait of a woman and a successful mother

At Brainware University we are proud to have many such women who not only uphold this equality in merit and hard work but also provide this protection and love to one and all. With ceaseless efforts, selfless dedication and indomitable spirit, our teaching and non-teaching staff have toiled both for the development of the University as an academic institution as well as for an all-encompassing enhancement of the students. On this occasion of International Women's Day, we take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the women of our university for their inevitable contribution. Ranging from mentoring the young minds to maintaining official documents, from grooming students to keeping the institute functional, they have been profound and tireless in all their roles and endeavours. In them we find not just a teacher's guidance or a sister's concern but also a mother's care and love. We are proud to have such women in our lives. Let us take us time out and appreciate them and show our gratitude; something that we often forget to do. Brainware University wishes every woman on earth a very happy Women's Day!! We just want to say Thank You...

Foreign Language Learning

“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”- Nelson Mandela

Foreign language learning session

Have you ever thought of going abroad for studies? Do you know, Germany is the leading country to study engineering and technology and if you don’t speak German, you are not allowed to pursue your education there? Do you know, if you want to be placed in any of the countries where English is not spoken, it is mandatory to learn their language? Do you have the information that countries like Germany, France and Spain, offer handsome amount of fellowship to Indian students who want to go there for academic purposes? Keeping these questions in mind and to make students aware of the importance of learning foreign languages, the Communication Club of Brainware University organized a seminar on Foreign Language Learning in association with Cd’A Global Language Centre on March 29, 2019.
Mr. Surojit Chatterjee, the representative of Cd’A Global Language Centre, gave a presentation on how foreign language learning may open up multitudes of opportunities in career and higher studies in this neoliberal globalized world where, due to the emergence of multinational companies, national and regional boundaries are gradually fading away. Students from all the Departments attended the seminar with great enthusiasm and made the session interactive with their queries and ideas.
