On August 24, 2017, students of Brainware University came forward with a lot of zeal to mobilize a relief fund for the flood victims of North Bengal. This initiative was not only a noble one but it also witnessed the active participation of students and faculty members. Students of Brainware University highlighted the deplorable plight of the flood victims and urged upon the need to extend our assistance to them. It was an enriching experience for the students who were inspired by the lofty ideas of visionaries like Swami Vivekananda who had dreamt of a nation where the youth would come forward in the aid of the needy and the destitute. The wonderful manner in which young students created awareness and came forward to approach everyone for a humanitarian cause was doubtlessly appreciable. With enthusiastic involvement from the side of both the staff and the students themselves, a humble amount of Rs 31570 was mobilized to be handed over to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. There are no possible means to prevent natural calamities but we are confident that whenever such unfortunate incidents shall happen, students of Brainware University will be always be there to extend their support and assistance to the victims.
