The Institute’s Innovation Cell (IIC) of Brainware University continues to expose its students to #ValueAddition method of education by means of Seminars and exhaustive workshops. 23 October 2019 saw the students of the Department of Management, experience one such productive event. ShipZip is the Intra-city Logistics Service Provider to SME's and Large Enterprises transporting client goods, packages, and raw materials through its trusted delivery network. ShipZip takes complete responsibility of the Intra-city operations and empowers its customers with data and control of their extended supply chain.

Mr. Naveer Walia, CEO & Co Founder, SHIPZip Logistics Services LLP, Kolkata and Mr. Akshay Kapoor, COO & Co - Founder, were the invited to conduct a seminar with the aforementioned students. A subject as relevant and crucial as “Product Development Phases” was deliberated upon, with students. They explored and analyzed the Product Development Process and attempted to identify ways in which firms can improve their performance when developing new products, mainly through the study of factors that are critical to success. As more and more companies realise the benefits of assigning Product Managers with responsibilities for their products, the role will become more important over the coming years.

The students realised that with a varied skill set, strong analytical competence and great communication skills, this is the kind of a job role which could earn them a satiating career!

Main Focus: The purpose of this Seminar is to making aware a framework of product development Phases, its critical success factors, metrics, and tools and techniques for implementing metrics for each stage of the product development process. Their literature emphasizes the importance of introducing new products on the market for continuing business success. Benefits to the Students:
