A celebrated painter and litterateur, Abanindranath Tagore carved a niche in the field of modern art. He was the principal artist and creator of the "Indian Society of Oriental Art". He was also the first major exponent of Swadeshi values in Indian art, thereby founding the influential Bengal school of art, which led to the development of modern Indian painting.
We at Brainware University showed our tribute to this great sole by organizing a Cartoon Drawing Competition, for our students today to celebrate his birthday and remember him through the lessons he taught us. Teachers and students offered flowers to pay their homage before they participated in the competition. Participants were asked to draw a cartoon on Chandrayan – India’s venture into the moon. It was amazing to see the talented students putting down their humorous thoughts on paper in the form of Cartoons and a caption.
