Free Health Check Up Camp at Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate Allied Health Sciences 29-10-2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, organised the \u201cHealthy Cops, Safe City\u201d Health Check-up Camp<\/em> on 29 October 2025 as a community outreach initiative aimed at promoting the health and well-being of police personnel. Recognising the demanding nature of law enforcement duties, the camp sought to encourage regular health monitoring, preventive care, and greater awareness of physical and mental well-being among police personnel. The programme commenced with registration and a brief inaugural session, followed by general health screening that included blood pressure, pulse, and BMI measurement, along with blood sugar testing for early detection of diabetes. Vision screening was conducted by optometry students and faculty, while participants also received counselling on nutrition, stress management, and lifestyle modification. Health awareness leaflets and educational materials were distributed, and medical and allied health experts provided individual health guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The health check-up camp concluded on a positive note, successfully highlighting the importance of preventive healthcare and regular health monitoring among police personnel. The screening and counselling sessions provided participants with practical guidance on maintaining physical fitness, managing stress, adopting healthier lifestyle practices, and safeguarding their overall well-being. The initiative also provided students and faculty with an opportunity to contribute to community-based healthcare services while strengthening interaction between Brainware University and the police department. Overall, the programme reinforced the message that the health and well-being of police personnel are essential for effective professional performance and for building a safe and thriving community.<\/p>\n\n\n
