The session featured <strong>Dr. Subhabrata Dev, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Alaska Anchorage, USA<\/strong>, who delivered an insightful talk on innovative approaches for converting agricultural residues, food waste, municipal organic waste, wastewater sludge, and livestock manure into renewable fuels such as biohythane, biomethane, biohydrogen, biodiesel, and bioethanol. Students and faculty members gained valuable insights into recent developments in microbial biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, resource recovery, and the commercialisation potential of waste-derived biofuels. The webinar also highlighted the role of these technologies in sustainable energy production, waste management, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and the transition towards a circular bioeconomy.
