Nursing 6th Semester students. The programme focused on creating awareness among parents and caregivers about common childhood behavioural and developmental concerns, including habit disorders, temper tantrums, and speech disorders. Through an interactive health education session and role plays, the students highlighted the importance of early identification, timely intervention, positive parenting, and appropriate professional guidance. The role plays demonstrated practical approaches to managing common habit disorders such as thumb sucking, nail biting, and teeth grinding, handling temper tantrums through calmness, positive discipline and consistent boundaries, and identifying speech and language delays while emphasising the importance of speech therapy and parental involvement. The programme also provided parents and caregivers with an opportunity to clarify their concerns and understand appropriate home-based management strategies.
