Is an OT just a place for surgery, or the beginning of safer patient care?
Before the surgery begins, excellence is already at work.
From maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene to ensuring seamless coordination,
precision, preparedness, and teamwork\u2014every detail inside an Operation Theatre plays a role in
shaping patient care.
Celebrating National OT Day 2026 with the theme \u201cFrom Standards to Excellence\u201d, the Department
of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, brought together expert voices to explore what truly
makes an OT efficient, safe, and patient-centred.
For Allied Health Sciences students, the event offered meaningful exposure to the professional
responsibilities and clinical practices that contribute to a well-functioning OT. It helped connect
academic learning with the discipline, communication, technical awareness, and collaborative
skills essential for healthcare professionals.
Because behind every successful procedure is a system where every second, every skill, and
every standard matters.
