The assessment served as a qualifying round for the National Hackathon Grand Finale and provided 3rd and 4th-year engineering students with an opportunity to demonstrate their programming, algorithmic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities through an online coding assessment conducted on the HackerRank platform under IBM supervision. The initiative aimed to expose students to industry-oriented coding standards, identify promising technical talent, and encourage professional skill development through competitive programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The assessment featured an IBM-supervised online coding evaluation, technical guidance from industry experts, and screening of participants for selection to the National Hackathon Grand Finale in Coimbatore. Students solved competitive programming challenges in a monitored environment designed to simulate professional and national-level coding competitions. The programme successfully strengthened students\u2019 technical capabilities, logical reasoning, and confidence in tackling real-world coding challenges.
