The Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS), Brainware University (BWU)<\/strong>, in collaboration with Billion Hearts Beating<\/strong> and Apollo Foundation<\/strong>, successfully organized \u201cSEE WELL: Free Eye Checkup Camp\u201d<\/strong> on 28th January 2026<\/strong> at Amar Bari \u2013 Senior Citizen Home<\/strong>, Village & P.O. Digambarpur<\/strong>, P.S. Dholahat<\/strong>, Block Patharpratima<\/strong>, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal \u2013 743339<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The camp was dedicated to promoting eye health and visual well-being among senior citizens<\/strong>, with a focus on early detection and prevention of avoidable visual impairment<\/strong>. Free eye examinations, vision screening, and personalized counseling were provided to the residents, helping them better understand and manage age-related eye conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program witnessed active participation from the third-year students of the Optometry Program, Allied Health Sciences<\/strong>, who gained valuable hands-on clinical experience and community exposure<\/strong> while serving society under professional guidance. Their involvement highlighted the integration of academic learning with meaningful social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being<\/strong>, the SEE WELL<\/strong> initiative emphasized the importance of accessible, inclusive, and preventive healthcare<\/strong> for all, especially the elderly and underserved sections of society. Through this outreach effort, Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University,<\/strong> reaffirmed its commitment to community service, health awareness, and improving quality of life<\/strong>, contributing toward a healthier and more inclusive future for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
