In\u00a0Geetabitan, this is the 212th song under\u00a0Puja\u00a0category, the composition of which dates back to 1914. In August, 1914 Rabindranath Tagore came to stay in the village of Surul, near Sriniketan, for agricultural and scientific work. At that time, Dinendranath Tagore, poet\u2019s nephew, resided in a humble hut in\u00a0Benukunja\u00a0(Bamboo Grove). It was during this period that Rabindranath composed new songs for\u00a0Geetabitan, teaching them to Dinendranath every evening. On August 28, during his stay in Surul, Rabindranath composed the song\u00a0Aguner Poroshmoni Chhoyaao Prane.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In August 1914, the magazine\u00a0Probasi\u00a0published 24 songs from the collection\u00a0Gitali\u00a0under the title \u201cGeetiguchho\u201d.\u00a0Aguner Poroshmoni\u00a0was one of these songs which was the 18th poem of the said collection. In 1915, Tagore came to Kolkata on the occasion of the 85th Maghotsava (winter festival) of Brahmasamaj and on January 25th, around 10 songs were sung during the evening prayer in Maharshi Bhavan, of which\u00a0Aguner Poroshmoni\u00a0was 5th in sequence. The song was also published in\u00a0Tattwabodhini\u00a0magazine in the\u00a0Falgun\u00a0issue of the same year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 1916, the song was published in the Ashwin-Kartik issue of the magazine\u00a0Anand Sangeet. In 1931, the song was included under the title \u201cPoroshmoni\u201d in the poetry collection\u00a0Sanchayita\u00a0by Tagore.
