The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology organised a 2-day international conference on ‘Drug Discovery: Advances, Challenges & Perspectives’. Dr. Pramod Yeole, Vice President, Pharmacy Council of India and Dr. Malina Jasamai, Associate Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia were the guests of honour at the event. Various other academic scholars, industry experts, and researchers discussed the opportunities and challenges in drug discovery.

The seminar on 'High Court Practice and Procedure,' featuring none other than Justice Asok Kumar Ganguly, Former Justice of the Supreme Court of India.
With an illustrious career, Justice Ganguly shared invaluable insights. He highlighted how the fascination with the law has skyrocketed in recent years and emphasised the significance of the Civil and Criminal Procedure Codes in shaping successful legal careers.

The seminar on ‘Gender Inclusivity’ Dr. Manobi Bandopadhyay, the trailblazing academician and author, shared her life’s dramatic highs and lows. Reflecting on society’s progress, she quipped, ‘Want to know if things have changed? Just hop on a local train!’ Dr. Bandopadhyay also touched on the complexities of gender, pointing out how power is often viewed as masculine.

Our passout Biotechnology student Mousumi Chowdhury who is an entreprenuer herself running two innovative startups—Eco Aura and GoynaWala., was back in the campus to share her journey.
