Our recently concluded Power-Packed Job Fair, an initiative by the Campus-to-Corporate Cell, resulted in 83+ placement offers, marking yet another chapter of success in our campus recruitment journey.

Brainware University came alive as over 250 students and staff took part in the Zee Bangla Mega Auditions for Didi No.1 and Rannaghar. From stellar performances to mouthwatering culinary acts, the campus buzzed with talent, energy and excitement.

The battle of ideas has begun! Brainware University proudly hosted the Initial Campus Round of the prestigious Ei Samay College Debate – #HokTorko, drawing an overwhelming response from the student community. With 200+ participants showcasing their analytical skills and persuasive writing, the campus round featured a written test where students expressed their views for or against a thought-provoking topic.

The Faculty Induction Programme for the academic session 2025-26 is off to an enthusiastic start at Brainware University. The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Hon’ble Chancellor Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, who greeted the new faculty members with his inspiring vision and heartfelt wishes.Welcoming the new additions to the Brainware family, the Chancellor emphasised the university’s commitment to academic excellence, innovative pedagogy, and industry-aligned education.

Brainware University has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the only private university in West Bengal to receive a Rs 53.25 lakh grant from the Ministry of MSME for student-led innovation projects. With this Brainware University becomes the only Private University in West Bengal to achieve this feat. This outstanding accomplishment highlights the university’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering real-world problem-solving.

From Ayshwarya Ghoshal’s eco-friendly insecticides derived from jicama peel and Shipra Gole’s chemical-free food preservation using natural antimicrobial oils, to Abhraneel Bose’s AI-powered smart posture monitoring chair (PiChair), Aritwa Saha’s biodegradable EcoLink initiative to support artisans and reduce plastic pollution, and Shubham Baidya’s Fresh Flow device for cleaning surface waste from water bodies - our students are championing sustainable, tech-driven solutions for a better tomorrow.

Our brilliant BSc Biotechnology students - Ujjal Dey, Trishna Patra, Snehasis Ray, Arpita Ghoshal, and Maman Sidhanta, have successfully cracked the prestigious IIT JAM examination and Umra Batool qualified IIT GATE, a true testament to their hard work, academic excellence, and unwavering determination. Their achievement reinforces Brainware's commitment to nurturing future scientists and innovators who don’t just aim high but reach higher.

Ankan Ghosh, a BSc Agriculture student at Brainware University, has been honoured with the 'Best Innovation for Social Impact Award - 2025' by EMATIX Embedded & Software Solutions, a Govt. of India & MSME certified organisation. Ankan's pathbreaking research focused on societal betterment showcases the transformative power of youth-driven innovation.

Our exceptional BMLT students dominated the Poster Presentation Awards at the prestigious National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week held at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Joka.  From 1st to 5th Prize - it was a complete Brainware sweep.

We are proud to share that our Diploma in Electrical Engineering 6th Semester students have secured 2nd position at the IESIA 2025 Hardware Model Presenting Competition hosted by IEM, Kolkata. Their innovative project titled 'Relay-Based Solar Street Light with Emergency Home Backup' stood out among top contenders.

Kaulick Basu and Monalisa Mondal, the dynamic duo from Brainware University’s Department of Physiotherapy, were the unsung heroes at the 2nd Eastern Challenger Squash Open 2025, held at The Saturday Club, Kolkata. Serving as the official physiotherapists for the prestigious tournament, they were at the forefront of athlete care.

BSc Biotechnology students Ujjal Dey and Maman Sidhanta secured 1st Prize in the National Poster Presentation at the seminar on ‘Microbiome & Nutrition: A Sustainable Approach to Food and Health’ hosted by Kingston College of Science. Guided by Dr. Sandhimita Mondal, their poster was lauded for its innovation and scientific clarity.

Tuhin Subhra Jana, BPharm student at Brainware University, is preparing with determination to crack GPAT 2025. Meanwhile, Srijita Chatterjee has made the university proud by securing an impressive All India Rank 3902 in the prestigious NIPER entrance exam.

Our dedicated NSS volunteer Koustuve Shyamal has secured the 3rd position at the Elocution Showdown hosted by NSS Unit-1, Scottish Church College, on the impactful theme: 'Prevention of Early Marriage: Importance of NGO-Institute Collaboration.'

Brainware University, in collaboration with Kolkata Police, organised a special cyber awareness workshop for over 250 senior citizens under the Pronam Project at PTS Auditorium.

Conducted by the Department of Cyber Science and Technology and the Campus-to-Corporate Cell, the session offered guidance on online scams and safe digital practices, empowering seniors to navigate the cyber world confidently. The event saw active participation from senior citizens and heartfelt moments, including interactions with faculty members like Prof. Anirban Lahiri

In a heartwarming celebration of academic brilliance, Brainware University proudly hosted the Sikkha Samman 2025 to honour the outstanding students who excelled in the Higher Secondary examinations across West Bengal — from Bolpur to Kakdwip, Diamond Harbour to Purulia, Bishnupur, Canning, Berhampore and beyond. Their collaborative research has been featured in the globally acclaimed book 'Multiple-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) Techniques and Statistics in Marketing', published by IGI Global, USA.
