Students’ Corner

International Yoga Day

Change for the better!

This time it was the students of Brainware University who gave us a lesson on keeping fit and happy during the quarantine! What a proud moment it was to see our students take the initiative for a healthy living. On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2020 various students demonstrated easy yoga poses that will help kill the boredom and keep our body in perfect shape. Yoga is a excellent practice to connect with your inner mind and consciously cultivate a sense of peace and contentment. When media is filled with pictures of horror and people suffering we can add fifteen minutes of yoga practice daily to ensure we stay fit. It can even be a bonding activity for the family. We thank our students for reminding us to take care ourselves. Following their advice let us promise to promote a healthy spirit and body and spread joy and laughter in the world. Hope is there as long as the heart beats!

Together for Health

In the midst of disease and mental illness to make Yoga a part of our daily lives, on the occasion of International Day of Yoga Brainware University in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan invited Mr. Aninday Kumar Das (Yoga Therapist, BangoYogaratnam) for our online yoga session titled “Yoga @ Home: Yoga with Family”. If you thought Yoga simply requires a few exercises to increase fitness then you would be surprised to know that the essence of Yoga involves the complete revitalizing of the mind, body, and spirit. It is through Yoga our soul trapped in the mires of worldly greed, envy, and need, rises from our fleshly bodies and reaches out to the cosmic being who is endless divine, endlessly pure. It is through this oneness, this pure union that calm and health is achieved.

Talk-Tonic

Battle of wits!

The pandemic might have forced students to adapt to a digital classroom but they have not lost their job voices! Our students let loose their opinions and made sure exactly what they thought about the online vs traditional classrooms for the Online Debate Competition organised by Brainware University’s communication club on 19 June 2020. Students from all the university’s departments joined in this battle of wits and intellect. After all, it wasn’t just about letting yourself be heard. One needed to establish their point through proper reasoning. A tough task, but one our students performed with ease.

Never Give Up!

At such precarious times of the pandemic crisis one unwittingly indulges in pessimistic thoughts and becomes an easy victim to depression, anxiety and fears. One of the greatest challenges during such times is to withhold one’s physical, mental and psychological well-being. Brainware University has left no stone unturned in its efforts to maintain positivity among its students and employees despite the social isolation. In order to support its students in academics so that their education process remains unhampered, it has undertaken an efficient mode of online teaching. The lectures delivered by the teachers are also recorded and duly sent to the students to ensure that no one is deprived of the lessons taught. Moreover, webinars are organized and conducted at regular intervals on varied issues. It is through these online sessions that the organizing committee wishes to spread awareness among one and all not only on how to combat the dangerous times but also of the means to be espoused to adapt ourselves to the post-pandemic world.
