Better Safe than Sorry

Any institution, operating in any field, must always be prepared for any form of disaster. In an Engineering and Management university, where it is imperative that the students engage frequently in lab activities, hands on learning on fire-safety measures must be imparted. Keeping that requirement in mind, Brainware University organized a One Day Seminar on Fire and Safety Management as a part of the NSS program, for the B. Tech CS, B. Sc CS, and B.Sc HN first year students on December 9, 2017, at its Barasat Campus. The students of B. Tech CS section A and B, B. Sc CS and B. Sc HN attended the seminar in the Seminar Hall of the Pharmaceutical Technology building. The Guest Speaker was Mr. Gopal Bhattacharya, Director, Fire & Safety Management, Brainware University. He enlightened the students regarding several precautions one must take within and beyond the university campus to avoid any unprecedented mishap. In recent years there have been such incidents in the city of Kolkata, and the management at Brainware University decided that it was high time they conducted such a program so that the students and staff may feel secure inside the campus.
