A Three Days Workshop on Developing Dynamic Web Applications using PHP & MySQL has been arranged on 21st, 22nd and 23rd of September, 2017 at Brainware University by the Computer Science Department in association with Oracle Academy and by the Industry-Institute Collaboration Cell.

Brainware University, in collaboration with Crystal Minds, successfully hosted a seminar on "Exam Phobia: Causes and Remedies" on March 4, 2017, at The Conclave. Mr. Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, Chancellor, Brainware University, inaugurated the event by his welcome address. Dr. Rima Mukherjee, Director of Crystal Minds was felicitated.
The Hardware & Networking division of the Computer Science department of Brainware University hosted a seminar on "Advanced Networking" for students of Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong. The event took place on 13th January, 2017. It lead to a healthy exchange of ideas between the presenters and the audience, that has enriched both the parties.
As a part of its industry-academia interface, the Management Department of Brainware University has initiated a unique drive on 'Management Development Program' for the technical and non-technical staffs of Berger Paints India Limited. The training programme was conducted by Dr Ashok Kr Mukherjee and Aditya Kr Ganguly of our Management dept., at Berger Factory, Rishra unit, on 15th December 2016. The first topic selected for coverage was 'MOTIVATION'. The staffs were divided into groups of twenty and the training was imparted through lectures and PPT.

Championing the message of unity in diversity, Brainware University in collaboration with Brainware Group of Institutions celebrated the 142nd birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel through a memorial ceremony held at the Institution premises.
To add flavour to the holidays, Brainware University is all set to commence a photography competition, ‘Heavenly Light’ organized by Photo Frame (A Brainware Photography Club) and the Department of Commerce & Management, Brainware University. All entries should be submitted by 16th of October, 2017, before 4pm. A maximum of three images in JPEG format with resolutions of at least 1,600 pixels can be sent by each participant. All photography enthusiasts, students and teachers alike, are cordially invited to participate in the contest and make the event a panoramic one.
Keeping in mind the booming markets of the Indian Economy demand of dynamic, meritorious and energetic youth, Brainware University is going to organize a one-day seminar on Career Scope of Management Graduates in Commodity Exchange on Sept.9, 2017 at the Barasat campus of the university, at 11 AM.at the Seminar Hall of the university building. Mr. Vibhor Tandon, AVP and Regional Head - MCX India Ltd is the honorable Speaker, addressing the would-be Management graduates regarding a wide array of possibilities in the area of Commodity Exchange.
To help those affected by the massive floods in the northern and north-eastern districts of West Bengal, Brainware university set up a relief fund for the collection of funds, donations and any other possible kind of help. All the students and the faculty-members came forward to help those in need. The collection was made on the 25th of August, 2017, at the Barasat campus of Brainware University. The collection shall be transferred to the Uttarbanga Flood Relief Fund.

It was a platform for encouraging budding athletes, on the one hand to assist in developing their physical and mental faculties, and on the other, to encourage them to exhibit their talents.
